Grand Champion Gala 2019
The Fundraising Committee would like to introduce the “Grand Champion Gala” as the new event that was once known as the 4-H Prom. The same spirit of giving back to the youth and families of 4-H will continue to shape this special evening.
This year the “Grand Champion Gala” will be held at the Oakwood Event Center in Syracuse, Indiana on Saturday, March 16, 2019. This year’s theme is Diamonds to Denim, so have fun with festive attire of your choosing.
In our first three events, we were able to fund new restrooms, build a bridge and build the road which is now our south entrance to the fairgrounds. Event Four was the beginning of our current project to build a two ring Show Pavilion and to date we have raised $340,000. This year’s fundraiser will be tasked with raising more to complete the project. We are blessed with a large number of 4-H members, and realize the need for a two ring Show Pavilion. This addition will allow us to hold multiple livestock shows and auctions simultaneously. It also allows for the opportunity to host non-fair local and regional livestock shows and events. Your donations for this event go directly towards the building of this pavilion. This project will be a multi-year fundraiser.
Tables start at $500.00 for 8 guests. Sponsorship opportunities begin at $1,000.00 and include a table for your friends and employees. Items are needed for our Live and Silent Auction, this can be done by a monetary donation, a unique item or a specialty service donated. We also have travel packages that you or your company can underwrite and will be auctioned off as your donation. Please contact a committee member if assistance is needed with purchasing a table or making a donation.
Make your evening even more special and spend the night at Oakwood Inn on beautiful Lake Wawasee. Rooms are available, at our Gala price of only $79.00 per night or Suites for $139.00, mention you are attending the Gala for this special pricing.
